Welcome Home

Hampton Baptist Church
  • Welcome

Thank you for visiting Hampton Baptist Church online.   We are a church that strives to live out God's two greatest  commandments - To love Him and to love others.   We attempt to live out these two  commands in a way that would honor God and meet the needs of people in the  Hampton area, as well as around the world.

We invite you to explore  this site, and we trust you will find that Hampton Baptist is a place for you!  Come see what we  are all about.

  • Services

    • Sunday Morning Service

Our worship service is from 10:50-12pm

This is a time to worship, learn and grow.  There is no "dress code" for this service - some feel more comfortable in casual clothes, while others feel more comfortable dressed up. You just come as you are!

Also it is our practice not to make anyone feel like they should give financially to Hampton Baptist. We have a free will offering each week that we use to meet needs within the church and the community. Some give regularly to this, and some don't. Please do not feel obligated in anyway to bring a donation.

    • Prayer Meeting

Prayer meeting starts off our Sunday 10-10:30am

We believe prayer is foundational for all that we do. Prayer is one of the primary ways we demonstrate faith in God. And scripture is very clear that "without faith it is impossible to please God." Therefore we feel that it is appropriate to begin each week with prayer as we demonstrate our dependence on our Creator.

    • Community Family Night

      Community Family Night (CFN) 5:45-7:00pm

Sunday night is when we have our children's programs as well as a new program for parents (and adults of all ages). It is our goal that this would not be "another night out" that pulls families in different directions, but rather is an evening that will pull families closer together.

  • Programs

    • Community Family Night

Out of our desire to see families supported in their effort to stay close in our very hectic culture, we have designed a night that is just for today’s families!

Because we want to minimize “running around” we have put all our youth programs on one night from 5:45 - 7:00pm on Sunday evenings.

Because we feel adults are valuable too - all parents are invited (not required) to stay for a new program we have begun for adults at the same time as the children's programs.

    • Children

      • Cubbies

Cubbies is stage one in the AWANA program. This exciting program for children ages 3 and 4 includes games, Bible memory, crafts and well told Bible lessons.

The goal in the Cubbies program is to assist you the parent in your desire to build into your children lasting values. The program intentionally involves the parents in this teaching process. As your child progresses in the Cubbies program he/she will be coming to you for help with their memory work, and wanting you to read them exciting stories from their club book. This allows you the parent to be active in participating in your child's spiritual development!

      • Sparks

Sparks is stage two in the AWANA program. It is for ages 5-7. The Children play games, learn Bible verses, do crafts and listen to Bible lessons.

While your Child is with us you can be assured your child is well looked after. We strive for a very good worker to clubber ratio, and also ensure all our workers are screened through references, police checks, etc..

      • T&T

T&T is stage three in the AWANA program for young people in grades 3 through 7. The program is a balance of fun, Scripture memorization and teaching of spiritual principles. These truths will help guide your young people through their whole lives.

In these years of peer pressure, preteens who understand God's acceptance and see that there is a great purpose for their life, are better equipped to face the negative pulls in society.

      • Nursery

Nursery is available for our morning service (ages 4 and under), and for our Community Family Night program (ages 2 and under).

In order to best care for your children we have:

        1. Built a new nursery that meets and exceeds all current standers in child care.

        2. Required all our nursery workers to take a training course on child protection as well as go through an extensive screening process (police checks, references, etc.).

      • Children's Church

We try to make sure there are parts in each morning service that children can relate to (children's story, etc.), but we realize that often times the message is directed more towards adults. Therefore, each week through the school year we have a special interactive Bible lesson for the young people while the sermon is presented.  We are blessed to have workers that see this as an essential ministry, and put significant effort into teaching exiting truths each week.

If your child is in kindergarten to grade five, you can be assured that they will enjoy our Children's Church program

    • Adults

      • CFN

Have you ever noticed that most all the programs offered are for children! Well we noticed, and we felt it was important to do something about it.We have developed a program for adults that will run along side of our children's programs on our Community Family Night (Sunday nights 5:45-7:00pm).

Come and relax with a coffee, as we look into topics that all of us "grown ups" will be able to benefit from.

(nursery is provided for those with children under 3)

      • Small Home Groups

Home based Small Group Bible Studies are an excellent way to learn more about the Christian Faith while making lasting friendships.

A typical Small Group Bible study has between 6 and 12 people in attendance and has these three components:   1. A non-intimidating discussion based Bible study that is very interactive.   2.   A time of prayer where those in the group that are comfortable praying out loud, pray for the requests given by the group.   3.  A social time where there are some refreshments.

It takes no time for the members of the group to feel like family!

    • Seniors

Senior’s Dinners are always a high point at Hampton Baptist.

On the third Friday of every second month at 12:00pm, we put on the best meal we can for you! This is a time for you to just enjoy the food, the fun games, and the devotional.

If you are 60 or over (or married to someone who is), then please come out and be a part of this special time. You do not have to attend Hampton Baptist (or any other church) to take part of this. A free will offering is taken to help cover the cost of the meal, but if finances are tight, please do not feel like you need to give - let it be our treat!

Contact us for the date of the next dinner.

  • Sermons

We have just begun digitally recording our Services at Hampton Baptist.  By the end of August we will have several sermons online to be listened to.

    • Beliefs

We take truth very seriously at Hampton Baptist. We know that what you believe determines how you live.

We strive to instill the truths of God's word to each generation in a way that would lead individuals to place their dependence on Jesus Christ for their eternal deliverance from the penalty of sin, and then to train them to live a life of faith, hope and love.

Faith - A Biblical Faith that is based on something the mind knows to be true. The Kind of faith that motivates you to action (obedience).  Hope - Scriptural hope is an assurance of God's promises for the future, based on His faithfulness in the past.  Love - Biblical love is when you give of yourself sacrificially for another. Biblical love always demonstrates itself in actions.  We believe that the Christian Faith accurately taught and faithfully followed, will produce people filled with this faith hope and love.
